“Pikachu! I choose you!” I yelled one second after throwing a red and white ball.
“Pika!” A small cute pokemon jumped out of the ball in a flashing light.
‘This is my last pokemon! He can’t beat Pikachu!’
The battle field was rocky and it felt like the whole arena was smoking in suspense and excitement.
“_____ sent out Pikachu! What will (Opponent name) do! Pikachu has never lost a battle and it’s not likely he’ll lose this one!” The announcer shouts as the crowd roars.
‘I’ve won so many battles to get here! The Pokemon League! I can’t lose!’
The opponent in front of me bit his lip and took out another one of the red and white balls.
“Go Mewtwo!” He/She shouted with a slight smirk and a white and purple pokemon popped out of its ball.
“WHAT?!” I screamed.
“WHAT?!” My body jerked awake.
“Hm….?” You mumbled. You weren’t at an arena; you were in your room, which was far more boring than a battling arena at the pokemon league.
You sighed and pulled yourself off the bed and got ready for the day. You took a quick look at the calendar.
Your calendar has a big red mark on one certain day.
“Day to get your Starter Pokemon! Don’t be late!” was what was written on the day. You yawned and stretched.
‘So today I get my starter pokemon from Professor Rome.’ You thought to yourself.
“And I won’t be late like that Ash Ketchum kid!” you told yourself and went downstairs.
“Hm, that’s a little odd.” Your mom said, giving you your breakfast of eggs and bacon.
“What mom?” you asked her.
“Usually I’d have to wake you up on the weekends, but I guess today is different huh?” She giggled.
“Of course! I’m going to get my first pokemon today!” You smiled and took a bite of the eggs. The slightly runny, but perfectly salted and peppered eggs woke you up completely. The first thing you felt: Excitement and joy. You’ve been waiting for this for years! You’re finally 10 and going on your pokemon adventure!
After finishing your breakfast, you grabbed your bag of supplies that you needed for your adventure.
“____! Oh…” Your mom had called you and came up to you holding one backpack of clothes, food, medicine, and other supplies for your adventure. She sighed when she saw that you already packed your own supplies.
“And I got so hyped up that I packed your stuff.” Your mom said sadly.
“But I guess you are all grown up now, _____ and you’re going on your pokemon adventure already! I guess I should have known well that would’ve been able to pack your own things.” And your mom went on and on about how you were growing up.
“You know mom. If you really worked that hard on packing supplies for me, I guess I’ll take it instead.” You sighed. You didn’t want your mom to feel bad, nor did you want to be late due to your mom’s constant ramble.
“Really? Great! I packed 5 sets of clean clothing, snacks, pokemon food, soap, berries, a flashlight, A sleeping bag-“
“Mom, I have to go now.” You sweat dropped, not wanting her to ramble on again.
“Oh…I guess you’re right.” Your mom said and hugged you one last time.
“I’ll see you soon.” You replied and hugged back.
“I’ll miss you so much.”
After the heart touching goodbye, you left for Professor Rome’s laboratory.
‘What pokemon will I get? Will it like me back?’ The thoughts of your first pokemon filled your mind with excitement and joy once again.
“Hey! Watch where you’re going, you bastard!” someone the same age as you yelled. He had short dark brown hair with one mysterious hair curl sticking out to his right side. He had olive skin and shining green eyes. He looked really cute in your opinion.
