[ReaderXRomano] Pokemon/Hetalia (Crossover) Ch.2

“Oh…umm, I’m sorry.” you stuttered shyly.

“Hmph.” He huffed rudely and stepped aside from the doorway he came out from and left with one of the red and white pokeballs in his hand.

Wait…doorway? Oh silly you! You’ve already arrived at the lab! All the thoughts about your first starter pokemon made the trip seem a lot shorter. Let’s move on with the story, shall we?

‘Well, that was a little rude’, you thought to yourself.

‘But he’s still really cute~!’

“Ah, you must be ____ ___” and old voice said.

You looked up and in front of you was a man with messy brown hair and pale skin. He was wearing a lab coat with a name tag that read “Professor Rome”. He had the goofiest smile ever and was a lot taller than you’ve imagined.

“Y-Yes I am.” You mumbled.

“Come in! Don’t be shy!” He smiled brightly and guided you inside.

The lab was filled with many tubes, the strange red and white balls, microscopes, beakers, and a lot of other strange gizmos!

“Come right over here! My grandson Lovino has already picked out his starter pokemon, it’s time you’ve gotten yours.” He chuckles and led you two pokemon sitting on a table.

‘Hm…Lovino, so I guess that was what that guy’s name was’ You thought to yourself.

The first pokemon that was at the left side of the table had one first big feature that caught your eye immediately, the huge bulb sitting right on its back! Besides the bulb, it had green skin with a few darker green splotches on it. The pokemon stared at you with its big red eyes.

“This one is a pokemon called Bulbasaur. It’s our grass starter at the lab.” Professor Rome told you.

“He’s very brave and loyal, a great ally.”

The 2nd pokemon (and last one available besides Bulbasaur) was a pokemon that reminded you of a turtle. It had a brown shell (like turtles) and had blue skin, and had one curled up tail that stuck out of its shell. Unlike Bulbasaur, this pokemon tried to look away from you and hide its red eyes.

“This here is Squirtle, our water type. He’s a nice fellow, but very timid. He’ll open up once you get to know him. Just a warning, it was kind of rough getting close to him when I first got this guy.” Professor Rome laughed.

You smiled; the two pokemon looked so cute! Bulbasaur was very friendly looking and would be a great partner to bring with me along my journey. You looked at Squirtle again, who was still trying to hide from you. You didn’t really want to have a pokemon that was very distant from you, and you turned back to Bulbasaur.

“I think I’ll take this-“

RRRRIIIIIINNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG

“Emergency, computer’s main account has been hacked, Professor Rome, please come to the office. I repeat: Professor Rome, please come to the office.” The speakers blared and suddenly the whole lab was filled with the sharp and annoying alarm sound.

You covered your ears and looked at the professor.

He seemed to be very annoyed at the moment, you couldn’t really blame him.

Professor Rome picked up his cell phone and dialed a number.

“Officer Jenny! I’ll be right over!” He yelled over the alarms.

Suddenly, another problem emerged besides the computer being hacked.

“SQUUUUUR!”  Squirtle yelped out of fear and jumped out the window.

“Squirtle!” Professor Rome yelled, exasperated.

He bit his lower lip and then asked you, “I’m sorry _____, but could you go after Squirtle? I really have to hurry to the office before something really bad happens to all the data in the main computer.”

You slowly nod, surprised at what was happening already. You’ve just started your adventure, and now you’ve been asked to chase after a pokemon that was on the loose. You didn’t know whether to be honored, excited, or scared.
